The truth about the evening snack fight

It’s almost the end of the day. It has been another hard day at work. Your family has eaten your well-prepared dinner, and just before laying our kids to bed you finished the laundry. It’s time for some relaxation and how about at little snack? You’ve sure deserved it.

In the fridge you’ve got carrots and cucumber. That would be healthy, but lets check the cupboards. On one shelf you got nuts, almonds, raisins and semidried fruits. On the next shelf you’ve got candy, chips and dip. On the top shelf you’ve got the toppings for the ice cream in the freezer. “Umm, ice cream” you think.

This is where your inner fight starts to kick in. You want to eat healthy. Maybe you are struggling with your weight. But your mind is begging you to chose the unhealthy snacks so bad. Do you think you can win this fight? Try to read the first paragraph again, and tell me that you can win.

Well you can’t win here at this time. The fight is unfair because you are drained of energy.

Choosing the right court to put up your fight

The truth is, that if you want to win the evening snack fight, you will have to setup the court where you actually have the energy to win the fight. When you are settled at home your odds of wining is against you.

So where do you have the best chance to win the evening snack fight? At the supermarket, the grocery store or where ever you do your shopping.

When you shop at the supermarket it’s typical earlier in the day. You will have more energy to put up the fight against the evening snacks and shop healthy instead.

So the next time you are out shopping, remember it’s at the supermarket you need to fight for your healthy lifestyle.
